Your second recipient of the “Outstanding Achievement” is truly a fairy tale story in today’s high-dollar racing world- in a car home-built by himself and his father from the ground up in the basement.
On the night of August 26 the recipient found himself starting second in the sprint car feature event. Not far behind him sat the likes of Tommy Burns, Tom Quarterson, Troy Preston, and Jamie Smith. Did he ever imagine that 11 years and 20 laps later he would be standing in victory lane in front of a cheering crowd.
