2007 Majestic Award

Five years ago, a new award was put into place to join the others that have now become an important tradition at Mercer Raceway Park….The Majestic.

Look up the word majestic in the dictionary and you’ll find the following description: grand, noble, dignified. 

The second recipient of “The Majestic” Award has an almost perfect attendance record at the speedway throughout the past 10 years.

He is as busy as any track official on race night and The Park could not function properly without his services.

Although he handles himself in an extremely professional and safe manner, I can assure that racers are not happy when they see him coming in their direction.

He recently showed his commitment to the speedway when he took it upon himself, in short notice, before open-heart surgery to find his own temporary replacement.

Tonight we want to make sure he knows how much he is appreciated and that his dedication has not gone unnoticed.
