Dear Stock Car driver/owner:
The intent of this letter is to make you aware of our season opening “Chiller Thriller” event to be held at Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday, April 5. For the first time, we are pleased to announce that this event will pay $1,000 to-win for the Stock Cars!
Drivers will draw pills to determine the heat race line-ups. The top 12 drivers from the heat races will redraw to determine the first 12 starting spots of the 25-lap feature. The remaining positions will be straight-up from the heats and B main finishes. The following payoff will be used: 1. $1,000 2. $500 3. $275 4. $225 5. $200 6. $150 7. $125 8. $120 9. $115 10. $110 11. $105 12. $100 13. $95 14. $90 15. $85 16. $80 17. $75 18-24. $70. Tow $50.
The Stock Cars will be using our Little Guy Nationals “open” rules. The rules are posted at www.mercerracewaypark.com/stockrules.html. There are only minor changes from last year. If you have any tech questions, please call Randy Myers at 814-432-2461 (days) or 814-432-5175 (nights).
Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Hot laps are at approximately 6:15 p.m. Racing will begin at 7 p.m. Pit pass is $30. Adult grandstand admission is $15. There is a $25 pre-entry fee or $35 on race day (see form below).
Please know that no one under 14 is permitted in the pit area. Those 14-17 must sign a minor waiver and release. If you are planning on coming early and need accommodations with younger children please call our office prior to the event. Also, no pets are allowed in the pits.
Monday, Memorial Day, May 26 the Stock Cars will return for the Ken Carbone Memorial paying $1,000 to-win!
