The first award tonight has been put in place to recognize an outstanding achievement or accomplishment throughout the past season.
On July 6th, 47 of some of the nation’s best 360 sprint cars overflowed the pit area for the inaugural URC 360 Summer Nationals. Amongst them were 13 local competitors, many of whom were concerned about their ability to compete against these traveling stars.
It didn’t take long for confidence to be restored amongst the home team as one of its own, Ralph Spithaler in the BRW #55, ran a blistering lap to set fast-time of the night.
Fast time, a heat race win, and a strong showing in the feature all represented unexpected, but outstanding accomplishments against what is considered to be World of Outlaw-caliber 360 Sprint Cars.
